Flamingo Gallery is pleased to feature a group of artists that paint in the style of the" FAUVES". The original Fauve painters were Matisse, Derain, Marquet, Manguin, Vlaminck, and others.

The French Fauves (Wild Beast in French) burst on the scene at the debut of the twentieth century. We feel that The Fauve style is a gold that has still only been lightly mined with great treasures still to be created. The bold colors and brash brush work associated with the Fauves still has the power to shock and also to bring joy to the viewer.
